Da Lat

De Lat was one of our favorite places. We visited a couple of waterfalls but I put my favorite one here. I was happy to be able to climb into King Kong’s hands. I think a lot of visitors were too short to do it. One lady did show up with a blonde curly wig to pose, it was very funny. We had to strategically take photos with the waterfall since people stood all over the rocks and I did not want to climb them. Luckily, there was a truck to pick up visitors and carry us swiftly up the hill.

Lastly, we visited ‘The Crazy House’ which I believe was made by Dang Viet Nga, who is the daughter of Vietnam's former general secretary Truong Chinh. She still lives in the crazy house today. The house was more like a crazy labyrinth, like walking through a painting or sculpture. The winding stairs were intimidating but I wanted to see as much as I could. There are even cute sitting spots like within a giant peach or the stump of a tree.

We finished our evening at the night market, which was really intense. We tried a savory Roti, it’s not the same as the Caribbean ones that I a used to but it was delicious.
