France

Day in Paris

We were gifted a lovely day in Paris by Jehan’s family, fully planned out. This did included Palace of Versailles the following day.

The day started with a sweet all you can eat brunch!

Then we got a private tour of the city in a tiny classic french car. The guide was so sweet, it was like having our own personal history channel.

Lastly, we ended the day with a boat tour of the city. It was too cold to sit on the top deck of the boat, so we stayed inside. Also got some nice photos on the way:)

Versaille

Versaille was beautiful…but I wish it were only Jehan and me there.

I was tired and sore from our adventures at Disney. The day was grey and windy. If I remember correctly I think that I’d chosen to wear a dress (bad idea). Versaille stood golden in all of its glory.

My favorite part was not the hall of mirrors but the long corridor of paintings and busts. Maybe because the freedom and space to move around made things less claustrophobic.

Might visit again in the spring, in order to take the time to see the garden. My body was limping by the end of the day and was not up for the challenge.

Luckily Jehan’s friends Helen and Adrien took us in for our Paris adventures. They were a godsend and I got to meet little Victor.
